Announcing the audiobook release of

Well, Well, Well: A Fable of Wellbeing

By: Lianne Sipsma
Narrated by: Shawn Witcher
Length: 3 hrs and 53 mins

Wellbeing matters. It is crucial to ensuring that we thrive despite life’s ups and downs - at home and at work. In this story, told as a business fable, Kay has been commissioned to solve what the organization describes as its 'ailing workforce'. People are not feeling good and not doing well. Kay, supported by a team of colleagues, undertakes to determine what must be done to ensure that people at work are not simply caught in the hedonic treadmill of striving and surviving but rather, how, through the pursuit of optimal wellbeing, individuals can not only face their challenges and demands, but also emerge better than before. The fable takes current relevant research and weaves it into a practical exploration and explanation of individual wellbeing within an organizational context including a pragmatic model of individual wellbeing and specific wellbeing resources.

Hi there and welcome to our website.

It's been a decade since the day I facilitated a session with my colleagues on the topic of wellbeing. Right then we knew that wellbeing was foundational to individuals' success in life and central to the work we do. We've been talking wellbeing ever since.

I confess, we were concerned it might be just another buzzword, captivating organizations for a while, and then being relegated to the drawer. Not so. Wellbeing has proven to be enduring. We've had the privilege of sharing our insights with clients across the globe. Our Wellbeing IndicatorTM assessment has been completed over 7000 times and is employed internationally by our Wellbeing Business Partners.

But it's also a noisy space and there's lots out there. I wanted to cut through that noise and record our conceptualization of wellbeing - our framework, our model and all the practical bits we share when working with our clients.

This book, written as a business fable, is that record. I have blended storytelling with cutting-edge research to address workplace wellness. Through the journey of Kay, tasked with rejuvenating an ailing organization, listeners explore practical strategies for achieving optimal wellbeing amidst the challenges of modern work life.

So, if like us you are looking for complex constructs made simple (even better, easily depicted as a basic, reproducible sketch on a whiteboard/paper napkin); practical applications of these insights to real-world leadership situations (preferably as a relatable story); and clear links between learning concepts (once understood, this applies here, here and here), we think you’ve come to the right book.

Feel free to look around our site and other resources we have.

Wishing you well.

Lianne
